IDENTEC Solutions was incorporated in 1997 through an early investment from Gantner Electronic GmbH, a leading Austrian industrial controls company. Together, Gantner and IDENTEC Solutions developed the patented Intelligent Long Range® (ILR®) RFID technology. Since that time, IDENTEC Solutions has grown into a global leader in long-range commercial RFID-based products, and has deployed its solutions in a wide variety of applications, industries and environments.
In 2006, IDENTEC Solutions significantly added to their capabilities by acquiring Baumer IDENT GmbH, the premier industrial RFID supplier to the automotive industry. Now, together with Baumer IDENT, one in three vehicles produced worldwide is made with the assistance of IDENTEC Solutions' products and technologies.
Their strength and innovation comes from the 80 individual engineers, professionals and support staff based in offices located in Lustenau (Austria), Dallas (Texas), Weinheim (Germany), Husqvarna (Sweden), and Kelowna (Canada).
RFID Software/Middleware - Silverstroke AG
Silverstroke was founded in 2002 as a spin-off from Entory, which was established in the 1980's. Silverstroke AG became a member of the SoftLab Group (a BMW company) in October of 2005. Headquartered in Ettlingen, the company specializes in Logistics software and Auto-ID solutions. Its web-based and Process-based applications has made its way to some of the largest companies in Europe, like Airbus, Siemens, Commerzbank and Deutsche Bank. Working hand-in-hand with IDENTEC Solutions, they offer custom applications which are both scalable and reliable.
ANR Solution Hardware - Hills Numberplates Ltd
Hills Numberplates Ltd of Birmingham (UK), has developed an RFID integrated vehicle number plate. The e-Plate® is self-powered and vehicles fitted with this electronically-tagged number plate can be securely identified whether stationary or on the move. The information stored on the RFID chip can be read by a fixed roadside reader at a range of up to 100 meters. When mobility is essential, PCMCIA or hand-held readers are also available.
RTLS Solution Hardware - Ubisense Ltd
Ubisense is a world leader in precise real-time location systems (RTLS). Founded in January 2003 by engineers from AT&T Laboratories Cambridge combined with a veteran team of entrepreneurs. Headquartered in U.K. with offices in U.S.A., Germany and Singapore, the company has more than 90 employees worldwide.
Currently, they have in excess of 160 RTLS customers in 14 countries, with products which received US FCC certification in November 2004 and European EU (CE) certification in April 2007.
